Only Travel pages currently available

This site was started to simply share the many photos taken while traveling, but there are many more wonderful and life-altering events to be cherished, and the greater joy comes from sharing the experiences and memories with the participants pictured, and with you.

The only constant is
change

Heraclitus of Ephesus (c.535 BC - 475 BC)

He prayeth best, who loveth best
Both man and bird and beast.

Throughout this site the page backgrounds are made from modified photos of the subject matter (with only a couple exceptions). The stonework that makes the background of my fireplace page is from a photo of a stone fireplace I built about 1978.

The photo on the top-left was used to make the background image of this page. It was taken while on excursion to the vineyards near Mendoza, Argentina and can be seen with other bas relief murals on the Mendoza page of Argentina 2007.

Travel

South America came up as the first destination for some real travel abroad, and it certainly has not been disappointing in any manner. This beautiful scene is Lago Frio, one of the smaller lakes in the series of lakes situated in the Andes mountains near the Argentine Chilean border. The travel page leads to this and more photos and tales about my times in South America.

Many people, young and old, have asked about my experiences in Vietnam. The press release shown here gives a glimpse of what I did in 1968. Visit my Vietnam page to see the pictures I took back then, and to read about my personal adventures.

Fireplaces
After building many fireplaces for many others I finally built this one for me. Visit my fireplace page to see more and read about the experiences building them.

He prayeth best, who loveth best
All things both great and small;
For the dear God who loveth us,
He made and loveth all.

Samuel Taylor Coleridge - The Rime of the Ancient Mariner
