Tales of Steam Fever
title by ana gram

Esteban always wanted to travel around the world, and is in the process. The first trips abroad (excluding Vietnam, Kyoto, Japan and countless trips to Canada) took in parts of South America. Grammar school studies sparked interests in other cultures, lands and languages. Ancient societies like the Mayans fascinated me. Machu Pichu seems like a place one just must see, then Lake Titicaca, and how about the Galapagos. Much lies out there waiting to be explored. And not just South America, but the other continents as well. Circumstances started me there though and so it begins.

Esteban must see the pyramids
on each continent.

Each link of the menu represents an individual page, so be sure to check out all the links to see many different photos and share the adventures.

The photo on the left was used to make the background image of this page. It shows one of the fine beaches at Mar Del Plata, Argentina.

Visit the Argentina 2006 pages to share the trip which also included Iguazu Falls, San Carlos de Bariloche, and a one day trip to Iguazu, Brazil.

Faro del fin del mundo -- Lighthouse at the End of the World. The furthest south I've traveled so far, I went a little southeast of here on an excursion from Ushuaia. Visit my Argentina 2007 page to see the pictures from this Ushuaia and Tierra Del Fuego trip as well as treks to the wine country in Mendoza, a birthday barbecue at a finca (farm) in the pampas, more Buenos Aires,

and another boat trip (left) across the River Plata to Uruguay to visit the historical town of Colonia, the Capitol - Montevideo, and the beautiful resort town of Punte Del Este.
